Community Food Pantry Information
Learn more about the pantry...
CCIL proudly announced the grand opening of a new service in November 2006 – CCIL Community Food Pantry. CCIL, in partnership with the Greater Chicago Food Depository (GCFD), opened its doors to the public and is providing emergency food to the community in North Lawndale.
CCIL is a referral-based, transitional living program serving 800+ men, women and children at any given time making it unable to accept walk-ins. In an effort to overcome this caveat yet still serve the community, CCIL came up with a plan – create a food pantry.
The Community Food Pantry’s mission is to not only assist its clients, but also provide valuable information in helping meet the specific needs of each individual. In doing this we hope to inspire our community to break the chains of poverty and hunger, while building a reliable network of care and support.
The CCIL Community Food Pantry provides emergency, non-perishable food items to those in need every Wednesday from 10:00am – 1:00pm. All are welcome!
